Over the last two years and going into my senior year, I've had the amazing opportunity to learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.  The Business INCubator program has taught me how to market myself and my ideas, work in a team environment,  set goals and deadlines, and pursue my passions with perseverance.

Nobody will believe in you if you don't believe in yourself. Even if you have the best idea and plan, there's always going to be doubters that don't see your vision. Having confidence and public-speaking skills are the most important truths that I've learned and continued to develop during the past two years. However, confidence shouldn't be mistaken with ignorance. Being able to prove your ideas as well as absorb constructive criticism is necessary for proper business development.

Working with different teams has given me perspective on how a business should be run for maximum success and to get important work done. I won't forget the frustrations of working with business partners who don't hold the same passion for success as me. It's at these moments when being a strong leader matters the most, as I could either choose to sit back and let the business fail or put in double the effort and push to progress for further success.

Without the continued routine of setting challenging but achievable short-term and long-term goals, business development won't come easy. There needs to be a clear direction of progression to ultimately becoming a profitable business entity. Even more important is keeping yourself and others accountable for each role in the company. Brushing off deadlines ultimately leads to no work ever getting done if no action is taken to address faults in productivity.

The combination of all of these key concepts has prepared me for my future in the business field. To actually be successful in this world, integrating the ideas introduced to me during the past two years is a necessary step. I won't forget what I've learned from the amazing experience that the Business INCubator/ACCELerator course has given me.
